Your day starts with a soft knock at your door. It's 4:30AM, the coffee's on and the conversation is hot. You gather in the unique thatched roof dining area for a hearty breakfast, which may include fresh hand made tortillas, eggs, bacon, toast and salsa. After satisfying your appetite for food the guide whets your appetite for ducks as he describes the area that you will be hunting. The scouts, who have spent the day before scouting for the best area, have been up hours before, preparing your blind and setting out decoys. Everything's ready as you prepare for the dawn of one of the best duck hunts in your life! |
| 12 different species of ducks are available in this vast agricultural land of corn, soybeans and a variety of other grain crops. From the open bay on the coast to small fresh water ponds, to flooded, thickly brushed mesquite patches, your waterfowling adventure will be packed with the smell of burning gunpowder and a heaviness in your game bag. About 10:00 A.M you guide will escort you back to the camp for an inviting meal of fresh game or fresh fish with all the "trimmings." Then after a short siesta, it's back out for a few hours of fast and fun dove, pigeon or quail hunting.
